The City of Bakersfield is offering a beginner class on bonsai tree cultivation. The class will take place from October 16 to June 18, meeting every third Wednesday from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

The cost for the full class is $75. Participants will receive a comprehensive materials list and suggestions on where to purchase supplies needed for bonsai cultivation during the first session.

Registration is available online at BAKERSFIELDPARKS.US. For further information, individuals can contact 661-665-8033. The classes will be held at the Silver Creek Community Center located at 7011 Harris Rd.
