Kern Library Features Nicole Chung’s Adoption Memoir

Staff Report / Bakersfieldlocal.org

The Kern County Library has selected "All You Can Ever Know: A Memoir" by Nicole Chung as the main book for its One Book Project. This memoir provides an intimate look into Chung's life as a transracial adoptee, exploring themes of identity, family, and the challenges of adoption.

In her narrative, Chung discusses her quest to understand her roots and the emotional journey accompanying her adoption experience. The memoir encourages readers to reflect on family and belonging, and on how personal stories influence our identity.

The book is available in several formats, including print, ebook, book on CD, and eAudiobook. Readers can place a hold on the book at any Kern County Library, through the eLibrary, or via the ValleyCat Mobile App.

Additionally, the library invites patrons to participate in the One Book Project Reading Challenge. This online challenge, hosted on Beanstack, allows readers to earn digital badges and prizes by completing various activities that enhance their reading experience.
