The Kern County Genealogical Society is celebrating its 60th anniversary on Saturday, October 12th, from 11 AM to 12 PM. The event will focus on the evolution of genealogy and its relevance for modern researchers. Kather Walker, the President of the KCGS, will be the guest speaker. The presentation will take place in the Local History Room at the Beale Memorial Library.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about how genealogy has changed over the years and how the society aids researchers in their quest for family history. This event is designed to provide insight into the connections that family ties create in our personal stories.
