Bakersfield Police Celebrate Women's Contributions in Law Enforcement

On National Police Women’s Day, the Bakersfield Police Department in California recognized and celebrated the contributions of women in law enforcement. The department expressed gratitude for their bravery, dedication, and strength in performing their duties.
A historical note shared by the department highlights that Mary Holman Dodge was the first female officer hired by the Bakersfield Police Department in 1941.
The celebration included various hashtags to promote the day, such as #nationalpolicewomensday, #BakersfieldPolice, #WomenInBlue, #JoinBPD, and #NationalPoliceWomanDay.
